When opening the preferences, text appears garbled:
Solution 1: Disable ClearType
On the Windows Start menu, type: cleartype, select “Adjust ClearType text”
Unclick “Turn on ClearType” and click Next all the way through the end following the screen prompts. If it was already unclicked, then try one of the other solutions below.
Now restart the software, go to the preferences and check that this fixed the problem, if not, try one of the solutions below.
Solution 2: Reset Fonts to Default (Not Tested)

Solution 3: Copy Fonts folder from the same operating system of a machine without this problem (Not Tested)
Ensure the Windows version is the same, backup your c:\windows\fonts folder from the machine where the error occurs, delete it and replace it by the c:\windows\fonts from another machine where the error doesn’t occur.
Restart the machine.
Restart the software, go to the preferences and check that this fixed the problem.
