Exporting your model to 3D dxf or Collada files are license-able add-ons in Virtual Shopfloor. To export your model, go to ‘Extras’ and ‘Export to’. Here you can choose whether to export to 3D dxf or to Collada, depending on your license.

Clicking on either, you will be directed to save the file in the format you have chosen on your machine. You can then open your file in an appropriate software such as Autodesk or SketchUp.

Export individual products

It’s important to note that the export function will export what it finds in the 3D view at the time of export.

For example if you have visualised your model in 3D and turned certain products on or off, this is what will be exported to the dxf or Collada file.

So if you wanted to export just an eaves beam, you could use the 3D product visualisation tools to select just the eaves beam, and then export to the external file. This means you have complete control over which elements or products you export.
